Challenges

I challenge myself
to make this a summer without jealousy,
to work a few night shifts,
to not drink as much caffeine,
to break the rules and push the norms,
to run more than a token once a month,
to have a civilized road trip with a couple friends,
to lash out at my sister and her condescending attitude towards me,
to finally put different music on my iPod,
to take myself seriously now and then,
to write more, privately and publicly,
to stop doubting the path I've chosen,
to make the most of the relationships I have before our dynamic changes forever,
to come clean on my crushes,
to leave with the knowledge that I'll be back.
